This morning after a prolonged illness my father passed away. He was 89 and had been in very poor health for the past months. I was glad that my brother, Steve and sisters, Hennie and Evelyn could be with my mom these last few nights. We will have visitation at the Lockhart Funeral Home 109 Montreal st Mitchell
t. on Friday evening July 23 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
I am glad that my father is now over his suffering and in glory with his Lord and Saviour. He will be greatly missed.

I have felt tired the last two days and am anxiously waiting to find out what the prognosis will be. It has taken some time to realize what is really happening. It seems strange to me that I may not be able to continue doing the things that I have always done like repairing things and keeping up place where we live. I have to trust that even if I am not able to do certain things, they will be done by others when needed. My children are very capable and I am very blessed to have them.
I'm so sorry, Gary, about your Dad. Even when you expect it, it really hurts. I hope you will have strength enough to get through the next few days. Please take care of yourself.

Hi Gary and Joanne,
ReplyDeleteIt has been a trying summer for you both. How can one take so much without God by your side. Thankfully we have a heavenly Father to help
us throught these times.
We remember your dad as a friendly pleasant man who was always happy. His faith was evident in his life. He will be missed. It's wonderful to see your family is so close and will be able to support your mom through the months and years ahead.

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your dad Gary..As for feeling bored, you can always come down and help us break things...You have great kids,so you should not have to worry for one minute about anything getting done..You have done a great job of teaching your boys to be handy around the shop and the yard work..Nothing will be undone....And I hear great things about the girls being so helpfull so your personal nurse has time to keep you busy and amused..We think of you guys every day and pray for you...Chuk & Diane
ReplyDeleteOur deepest condolences to the entire family on the passing of your father. It is so comforting to know that our loved ones are in a better place. We will continue to raise you up in prayer.
